Since 1993 Bongo artists have provided us with a treasure trove of covers in homage to famous comic covers of years past and in parody of various cultural icons. We have found that a side by side comparison provides insight into the level of work that has been invested in these covers, most recently with Simpsons Comics #183. This isn't limited to covers, though; this includes faux advertisements and SkyBox inserts. Moreover, the cover is at times a prelude to the homage being paid within.

In this section we provide links to all the illustrated analyses you'll find within the guide. One need not keep on returning to this page however to see them all - each one ends with a link to the next one in comic sequence.

The series clearly most ripe for analyses is, of course, Radioactive Man.
We will begin providing a far more extensive analyses of that series during 2013.

When a cover is parodying a specific issue of another comic we specifically note that comic, supplying the series title, issue, date and artist where appropriate. If however they are generally parodying a series or even a comic genre we just supply the series name although the analyses will illustrate a sample issue or issues.
