and the incredible Futurama writing staff! Muchos gracias to Claudia Katz, Gregg Vanzo, Rich Moore,
and all the talented artists and animators at Rough Draft Studios! A big Bongo bravo to Mili Smythe
and the Futurama art department! And a warm and fuzzy group hug to all the actors, producers, editors,

20 Questions With Futurama Producer David K. Cohen!! |
Bongo Beat: Strip Teaser discusses the history and status of Simpsons comic strips.
A Simpsons comics strip debuted in January 1999 in The London Times as part of their Saturday
Meg@ magazine. Then in September 1999 it appeared in 50 newspapers in the United States.
This Bongo Beat also appeared in Simpsons Comics #54,
and was followed by a different two page reprint of one of the original strips.
The letters section encourages readers to send their Futurama inspired letters and art and
asks for suggestions to name the Futurama Comics column, as all the other Bongo comics

Making of This Comic Book!
By now, you're all familiar with the story of Phillip J. Fry and how he found his way to the 30th century by way of an ill-fated pizza delivery. What if everything you know was, well... different. What if, instead, Fry, a man destined to change the course of human history, was, in fact, pursued by a deadly robotic bending unit from the far-flung future, and his only hope was a one-eyed, ass-kickin, alien beauty. Or was it? What if...we just stop saying “What if?” Suppose...

The first thing to note is the cover that appears to be embeded in a CGC - Certified Graded Comic case
when we have in fact the actual cover is designed to appear that way - with this one being
a CIC - Comics Incarceration Co-op case, certified Minty Fresh 11.5.
Just as we have new X-Men bursting out of the cover on the right from Giant-Size X-Men #1 from
July 1975 with the original X-Men looking on we have a new set of Futurama characters bursting out of
Futurama #8 with the originals looking on in the background. Completing the parody we have
a blue ribbon across the top, a white background and red letters for the headings. Having said all that
the real find is within where the X-Men parody continues, something we'll detail subsequently!

Futurama Comics #9 (May 2002)
Made in the U.S.A.! (Printed in Canada)
It seems like “Great Nephew Day” creeps up on you all of a sudden, just like “Red–Headed Stepchild Day.” So Fry goes in search of the perfect gift for Professor Farnsworth. Little does he know that his gift will lead to a scientifically unexplainable phenomenon that will make them both swap bodies. You know, Farnsworth’s personality inhabits Fry’s body and vice versa. The whole thing turns into a really “Freaky Fry Day,” and just when you were finally putting away the decorations from “Kumquat Appreciation Day.”
