Simpsons Postage Stamps

Created and Maintained by Bruce Gomes Sr.         Updated July 2013

With the release of Simpsons Stamps in the United States a wide range of collectible Simpsons items became available from the United States Postal Service and from third party companies. Here we document everything from the USPS, from other vendors, from other countries and the various illegal issues that have been released.

United States Postal Service

The Simpsons are the first and only television show to be featured as the sole subject of a United States stamp set while still in primetime production.

US Postal Service
Matt Groening: This is the biggest and most adhesive honor The Simpsons ever received.

James L. Brooks: We are emotionally moved by the Postal Service selecting us rather than the lazy choice of someone who has benefited society.

David Failor, USPS: We are excited to celebrate The Simpsons on postage stamps. Eyebrow-raising, to say the least, this witty, well-written pop icon continues to irreverently satire its parody of a middle-class family as it lampoons American culture. The Simpsons stamps, which include known philatelist Bart Simpson, will serve as a great opportunity to interest youngsters in stamp collecting.

Simpsons stamps from the USPS may no longer be available, but sheets can still be purchased at reasonable prices from stamp dealers. I continue to use them on my mail. Of course, the perfect thing to mail with Simpson stamps are... Simpsons Greeting Cards!.
