Bart Simpson #1 - Son of Homer (Oct 2000)
Bart Simpson, America's favorite underachiever, lays claim to his own comic book. In the tradition of Little Archie, Peanuts, and Little Lulu, Bart Simpson comics is for and about kids. It's good old-fashioned fun with same satiric edge that has made The Simpsons the most successful animated program in television history.

Bart Simpson #3 - Troublemaker (Feb 2001)
In an issue written by comic fan favorite Gail Simone, Bart Simpson finds galactic turmoil, political unrest, and one-eyed giants while accompanied by the whole Simpson family on a mission to explore the nether regions of the cosmos. Back on the planet in another earthbound story, Lisa wins a date with not one, but two boy bands. Then in another tall tale of science, Bart defies death and gravity with a new invention by Professor Frink that's not quite ready for the patent office.

"The Simpsons and Philosophy: The D'oh! of Homer", edited by William Irwin
(found on our book list here), and
"The Gospel According to the Simpsons", by Mark I. Pinsky
(found on our book list here).
It then discusses the talking Krusty the Clown doll, based directly on
the "Clown Without Pity" segment from the Treehouse of Horror III episode
[9F04]
as well as the Playmates Kang and Kodos spaceship, the Simpsons family
Christmas set, and the Diamond Comics Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy environment.
Lastly they plug the Inkworks Simpson Mania! cards.
