Home Entertainment announces the highly-anticipated release of The Simpsons 
Season 1 DVD Box Set, featuring every episode from the premiere season of the 
Fox Television Networks Emmy® Award-winning hit series. Since its debut episode 
on December 17, 1989, The Simpsons has built an extremely loyal and dedicated 
fan base that tunes in each week to get their weekly fill of "D'oh's" and 
experience the extraordinarily bizarre adventures of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, 
Maggie, and the oddball residents of Springfield. 

Now fans can see how it all began for this beloved show with the specially 
packaged, three-disc The Simpsons Season 1 DVD Box Set, featuring all thirteen 
episodes from the shows groundbreaking first season. Highlighted by outtakes 
from an un-aired version of "Some Enchanted Evening," The Simpsons Season 1 
DVD Box Set is jam-packed with exclusive bonus features including original 
scripts, commentary featuring Matt Groening on each episode, early sketches, 
foreign language clips, magazine covers and stills. Additionally, this historic 
collection also features Albert Brooks outtakes from the episode "Life On The 
Fast Lane," a "Making Of The Simpsons: America's First Family" special, a 
Simpsons short from The Tracey Ullman Show entitled "Good Night Simpsons,"

disks (full frame, aspect ration 1.33:1). Each episode is presented with English 
5.1, English Dolby Surround and French Dolby Surround Sound and English and
