Study Guide for best-selling book on The Simpsons released

Louisville, Kentucky —A complete revision of the study guide that accompanies the best-selling book, The Gospel According to The Simpsons, has just been published. The Gospel according to The Simpsons, Bigger and Possibly Even Better! Edition: Leader’s Guide for Group Study includes new studies on episodes of The Simpsons as well as studies for discussing other popular animated comedies such as Family Guy, King of the Hill, and Futurama. The new edition also features a session plan for a “green retreat” based on The Simpsons feature film and the environmental film An Inconvenient Truth, as well as a listing of DVD availability for each episode with cross-references to the relevant chapters in the book.

The book, published in the United States by Westminster John Knox Press, is available in the United Kingdom and Europe from Alban Books. It is coauthored by Samuel F. (Skip) Parvin and Mark I. Pinsky.

Samuel F. (Skip) Parvin has written for several youth curricula and is the author of the companion study guides for The Gospel according to The Simpsons and The Gospel according to Harry Potter.

Mark I. Pinsky is the author of The Gospel according to The Simpsons, The Gospel according to Disney, and A Jew among the Evangelicals. He is a former religion reporter for the Orlando Sentinel and the Los Angeles Times.
