MAY 5, 1998

MMMMMMMMM...A NEW CD OF SIMPSONS MUSIC

Rhino Sets September 1 for Release of Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons:
A Whole Lot More Music From The Television Series, Follow-up to Hugely
Successful Songs In The Key Of Springfield, Featuring Original Songs,
Themes, Underscore Music, and Great Interstitial Dialogue

SPRINGFIELD _ If watching The Simpsons on Sunday night and every day in
syndication leaves you feeling as satisfied as Barney Gumble at last call,
then on September 1 Rhino Records has just the thing you've been looking
for, GO SIMPSONIC WITH THE SIMPSONS, the brand-new _ and second _ volume
of original music and dialogue from the longest running prime-time
animated series in television history.

Consisting of more than 60 tracks of songs, themes, underscore music, and
hilarious interstitial dialogue from your favorite show, GO SIMPSONIC not
only picks up where its critically acclaimed predecessor, Songs In The Key
Of Springfield, left off, but also digs deep into the first seven seasons,
capturing selections that didn't make it onto the first collection. GO
SIMPSONIC also makes available for the first time four never-before-heard
outtakes.

Featuring such tracks as "We Put The Spring In Springfield," "You're
Checkin' In," "Canyonero," "Cletus The Slack-Jawed Yokel," the entire
Simpsoncalifragilisticexpila-D'Oh-cious Medley (that's the Shari Bobbins
episode in case you forgot), "Poochie Rap Song," "Mr. Sparkle Theme," "The
President's Song," and a never-before-heard duet between sisters Patty and
Selma on the song "We Love To Smoke," GO SIMPSONIC WITH THE SIMPSONS will
have the most-Montgomery-Burns-of-fans smiling and tapping their toes.
The collection also features contributions from celebrities who have
appeared on the show including Sonic Youth, The Ramones, Linda Ronstadt,
Tito Puente, Jackie Mason, Kelsey Grammer, and Tim Conway.

Most of the music for this weekly comedy series is composed or arranged by
Alf Clausen, who has received an Emmyr Award, an Annie Award, and nine
Emmyr nominations for his music for The Simpsons. In addition to his work
on The Simpsons, Alf has had a long and successful career with 28 films,
24 television series, and 24 movies of the week under his belt as either
a composer, conductor, or arranger. Clausen received his first big break
on the Donny & Marie Show as Music Director and Conductor. In 1985, Alf
became the composer for the hit show Moonlighting, which eventually led to
his long-standing role as Music Composer and Songwriter for The Simpsons.

Having reached its 200th episode, and in production on its 10th season,
The Simpsons, a modern cult classic created by cartoonist Matt Groening,
remains one of TV's most popular programs _ in all demographics. The
show premiered on FOX as a half-hour comedy series January 14, 1990, and
received the 1990, 1991, and 1995 Emmyr Awards for Outstanding Animated
Program. The show was also honored in 1997 with the prestigious Peabody
Award. Along with the original episodes that air Sunday nights at 8 p.m.
on FOX, classic episodes run in nationwide syndication Monday through
Friday, drawing legions of Simpsons fanatics every day.

GO SIMPSONIC WITH THE SIMPSONS will be available at all record retail
outlets for a suggested list price of $16.98 CD/$10.98 cassette. The
compilation will also be available through RhinoDirect at 1-800-432-0020
or at www.rhino.com.
