First Bart Simpson issue with the new cover design and the new Bongo logo brings with it several wonderful surprises!
The return of The Bongo Beat after an eight year absence!
The return of Junk Mail section after a six year absence!
The Bongo Beat and responses to all letters are signed by Louis Lane.
This issue also includes a Seven Questions (more or less) with Ian Boothby.
Bongo Beat written by "intern" Louis Lane titled Hey There, Bongo Heads! reminisces
over it's long absence and promises to return monthly with previews, the return of writer profiles,
new merchandise and more. The bottom of the page includes "Another Bongo Bonus Stamp - Collect
Them All!" featuring Moe.
Perhaps this is only for this first issue, but the Bongo Beat section and the Letters section match
Simpsons Comics #186 that was also released
in February one week earlier. The only difference on those pages was the
"collectible" stamp, which was Moe Szyslak in Simpsons Comics and Wendell Bolton here.
