Beloved by fans of MAD Magazine, Groo the Wanderer and comic fans everywhere, Sergio Aragonés first contributed to
The Simpsons in
Bart Simpson’s Treehouse of Horror #5
in September 1999 and joined Bongo comics writing
Bart Simpson #50 in October 2009. He is the recipient of numerous Harvey Awards,
National Cartoonist Society awards, Reuben Awards and an Eisner award. Note that the first Bongo reference
to Sergio Aragonés however was in 1995 when both Phil Ortiz and Tim Bavington credited him
in their Bongo profiles as a comic art influence in their work. We congratulate Sergio on
this new endevour!
The letters page is a who's who of famous artists and writers, congratulating Sergio Aragonés for
his work and for this new comic. Letters include those from
Al Jaffe (MAD's longest contributor and Reuben Awards 2008 Cartoonist of the Year),
Jack Davis (founding cartoonist for MAD, Comic Book Hall of Fame, National Cartoonists Society's Lifetime Achievement Award)), as
well as fellow Bongo artists Scott Shaw! and Paul Dini.

More autobiographical anecdotes, perplexing puzzles, silly short stories, and hilarious pantomime gags, featuring a return to Skull Island, where Sergio Aragonés takes on King Kong, as well as a tale about a beautiful girl with a lifelong desire to become Miss Universe -- but on what planet? Then, learn of Sergio's first money-making scheme (at 9-years-old)!

As the second issue almost "went to press" before the first one was released the
The Letters Page continues with letters
from fellow artists and friends in the industry, including
Patric M. Verone, Futurama writer,
Denis Kitchen, underground cartoonist and founder of the Comic Book Legal Defense fund,
Stan Sakai, who lettered issues of Groo the Wanderer and contributed to two Treehouse of Horror comics,
Tom Richmond, MAD Magazine cartoonist and
Mark Evanier, comic book and television writer who has collaborated with Sergio Aragonés.
The "Find the Identical Fish" puzzle includes the fish from Groo the Wanderer #34, as noted by
fan Ned Martell in the letters page in
Sergio Aragonés Funnies #4.
The inside back cover features a Yoplait GoGurt advertisement drawn by... Sergio Aragonés.

Sergio Aragonés Funnies #3 (Sep 2011)
Sergio Aragonés, master cartoonist will delight you with an autobiographical story about his encounter with the preeminent cellist of all time, Pablo Casals, in Acapulco, Mexico in 1960. Add to that a tale about a wandering lion and another about a comic book project from the past, "Sergio's Inferno." Also, there are plenty of guffaws to be had with more of Sergio's gags and games!

Sergio Aragonés, master cartoonist, tells the classic tale of the kindly old toymaker who wanted more than anything in the world a son -- and a wife!
